Write less but do more #JavaScript

We tend to focus allot on a well designed & scalable back-end code but more often than not we ignore writing good JavaScript. We aren't that lazy are we?

Today there are many frameworks and libraries that help us write JavaScript which in the long run is easy to extend and much easier to maintain. This article is in no way a guideline to write well designed code but merely meant to ask ourselves are we doing enough when it comes to coding in JavaScript.

Are we using?

Did we explore?

  • jQuery: jQuery is a fast, small, and feature-rich JavaScript library. It makes things like HTML document traversal and manipulation, event handling, animation, and Ajax much simpler with an easy-to-use API that works across a multitude of browsers.
  • Prototype: Class Inheritance, Dynamic Ajax Updater, JSON Support and much more
  • Backbone.js: Client Side MVC JavaScript framework
  • AngularJS: A complete client-side solution. Templates, Two Way Data-Binding, MVC, Dependency Injection, Directives all packed into one lightweight JavaScript framework.

Till next time ...
